Feeling much delighted at the response to my first foray into smut peddling. After months of lurking, I'm finding fandom to be a charming place to actually participate in. 

Apart from the online chatter tonight, my other highlights have been spinning (B's red and blue wool roving) with the drop spindle (my god, that is as addictive as porn), and a lovely walk on the beach with the dog. It's an almost full moon tonight, and the clouds cleared away, the wind dropped, and the remaining surf from this afternoon was swooshing in and out. I love walking along the shoreline, on the hard packed sand, right on the water's edge, so that when the bigger waves slide up the beach, you have to do a sideways skip to keep from getting a soaker.

Small Town Adventures (or, WTF, parts one and two)

I went downtown to get my hair cut, and walking back to my car, noticed that the used bookstore on the main street had its entire window display filled with Asian cookbooks. The last time I was looking for a Japanese cookbook there, there was the grand selection of two. So I went in, and there's all these new cookbooks (new-used), and it turns out the owner just bought someone's collection of 2500 cookbooks. 2500. Must. Avoid. Bookstore.

So I drove home (with only two bags of books, admire my restraint); and there are all these trucks and film cameras set up across from my church. And a GhostTrackers truck. GhostTrackers (a YTV show) is filming across the street. That's, like, my least favorite show that the kids watch.
