beachlassOh hello there, SGA fandom. I thought, sure, there's not too much new fic on my flist this week, I'll read one of these SGA recs. And wow. You know those times when you lean over to give someone a friendly kiss on the cheek and find yourself pinned to the couch panting, shirt pushed up? Yes? No? Just me? The writing is absolutely stellar, and I think I have a new favorite piece of fanfiction. Written by the Victors by Speranza. I've been on a reading binge, and have a lot of feedback to catch up on posting.
I've even started watching the show.
And I have some pop culture questions.
Luckily, one of them has been put to song. Seriously. Everytime we've seen to previews, I've been wondering what the hell that title was supposed to mean.
Next question. Why didn't I know that the Day the Earth Stood Still people were at ComicCon? Keanu Reeves! Answering questions about his acting qualities that lead to being cast as a robot!
And finally - What's with the really, really bad sci-fi horror films that OutTV plays late at night? I think the one I saw this week was actually a poorly adapted Harry Potter fanfic. Complete with a sneering blond boarding school rival who hangs out in a dorm room making his minions do push-ups in their underwear while the dark haired hero with special powers watches through the keyhole.
