To bolster my ego by saying such nice things about me!

b) Associate you with something unlikable -- a fandom, song, color, photo, etc.
Oh --- the letdown from the scene when you think Starbuck is in bed with Lee, and it turns out to be Gaius

c) Tell you something I like about me.
Little things make me happy. Driving down gravel roads with fields and trees stretched out as far as I can see. Channel surfing on the radio and always, always stopping for the disco tunes. The smell of nasturtiums.

d) Tell you a memory I made up of you.
Jesus. I remember that time you pushed me up against the wall. You leaned in, eyes narrowed, and in that low, breathy, scotch scented voice asked if I was sure. The hall was so dark and narrow, and when someone walked past us, they jostled you just enough that the edge of your bracelet dug into my collarbone and the wall shuddered from the beat of the music in the bar and I couldn't even catch my breath to answer.

Awww - seriously.... Those are incredibly sweet things to say. I'm gonna save up "wise and sane" for the days when I feel neither.

Srsly, save up "wise and sane" for whenever you need them. Not that you seem like you ever reach the point of "ranting and unhinged", but hey...we all get close, some days XD

As for e)...The Cure. I still have concert t-shirts from that era. And pictures, in which I was smoking clove cigarettes. Oh. god. That was a really long time ago, wasn't it.
